Board of Trustees

Mid Term Election

The 2017 mid term Board of Trustee elections are to be held at the end of November this year. Pinehill School will be looking for two parent representatives for a three year term.

We would like to encourage you as a member of our school community to consider standing in this election. Trustees are active leaders in the school and a balance of skills and experiences is needed on our board.  Information is available on the role of a trustee on the following website -

A nomination form and a notice calling for nominations will be posted to all eligible voters in the coming weeks.  You can nominate another person to stand as a candidate, or you can nominate yourself (make sure you sign both parts of the form).

Further information will be available over the next few weeks. Please make sure that the office has your current address details as all nomination and voting papers will be posted to the home address we have on file.

Educational Leadership Survey - Tracey Kelsey

Tracey Kelsey was confirmed as principal early this year after being Acting principal in 2015. The Board is very pleased with Tracey’s performance and have been working to ensure that Tracey is well supported, which has included having a mentor as part of the First-Time Principals’ programme.

As part of the First-Time Principals’ programme, Pinehill staff undertook an Educational Leadership Survey at the beginning of 2015 and then again at the end of 2016.  The purpose of the survey was to provide an assessment of performance and feedback for Tracey.
We are pleased to be able to share the results of this survey
There are three graphs which show the following:
1) Teaching Work and Experience - this graph indicates staff morale and the extent to which staff enjoy their job.
2) Principal Leadership - this graph indicates the extent to which the staff view Tracey Kelsey's effectiveness as a principal.
3) Ensuring a Safe and Orderly Environment - this graph indicates the extent to which the staff view their workplace as being a positive, safe and supportive environment for themselves and their students.
Green - beginning 2015
Red - end 2016
We are delighted with the results which compare very favourably to the national norm.
